• Fences in Beverly Hills can be installed using any common type of fence including: vinyl, aluminum, wood, and chain link. However, chain link is only permitted in rear yards.
• A fence in a rear yard shall not exceed four (4) feet in height above grade and shall not extend toward the front of the lot farther than the rear of the house, except a fence may extend into the side yard only to enclose the side door entrance.
• Fences up to six (6) feet in height and/or up to 100% solid vertical surface area are permitted subject to Administrative or Planning Commission approval as follows.
• All fences must be installed with the finished side, also called the good side, of the fence facing adjacent neighbors. This pertains mostly to wood and chain link fences.
